A scientist who was “dead” for a few minutes after experiencing a medical emergency revealed what she saw in the “waiting room” between life and death.
Anna Stone was dead in 2016 for a total of six minutes and shared that she was able to see when healthcare professionals tried to save her in the emergency room.
During an appearance on the Next Level Soul podcast, Stone explained that before her “death,” she was going through a difficult phase in life, drinking a lot and even using drugs to cope with life pressures.
“I was married to someone I barely knew, and it was a nightmare, and I wasn’t doing well at all,” she said in a video posted on YouTube.
“I couldn’t keep my career on track. Everything was falling apart, and I was really bitter and angry, and very selfish, egocentric, [it was] all about me and my problems.”
Stone recalled that she had been experiencing menstrual problems right before “dying.” “I kind of made a joke and said, ‘I think I’m bleeding to death,’ and that’s the last thing I remember saying before waking up in an ambulance,” the scientist remembered.

“The next thing I was doing was being in a hospital bed. I had this feeling that I can only describe as knowing I was dying. It felt like I was about to explode. It was too much. I couldn’t handle it. Then, suddenly, I jumped out of my body.”
She said that she found herself in what she described as a “waiting room,” which was an empty place with no ghosts or spirits of deceased relatives.
“I was standing to my right in the room… and then I realized that if I looked to the left, I was no longer in the hospital… I knew it was a place where I was supposed to be waiting for something to happen.”
Stone then said that she watched the doctors trying to save her through CPR, and a doctor eventually managed to save her. She said she came back into her body through her navel, which hurt “like hell.”
After this extraordinary experience, she decided to dedicate her life to helping people who are facing traumatic situations. “That’s what my life has been, all about serving, serving others, serving myself, and being a better mother.”
“I’ve helped others with a history of trauma, I can help others. I was an alcoholic before, I’d come home and drink 12 beers: now I can’t even touch alcohol,” she concluded.
